Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of neighborhood-yarn-bomb-registry.hub2.day (“YarnBomb Map”, “the site”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

Purpose of the Site

YarnBomb Map is a community-driven registry and map where residents and fiber artists can log yarn bomb installations, knitting circle meetups, and public fiber art with photos and dates. The site is provided for informational and convenience purposes only.

No Professional Advice

Nothing on the site constitutes professional advice, including but not limited to legal, safety, municipal, or craft-instruction advice. You should independently verify any information before relying on it for decisions about your projects, events, or installations.

Your Responsibility to Verify

Community-submitted entries may include photos, dates, locations, and descriptions of yarn bombs, meetups, and fiber art. We do not independently verify the accuracy, completeness, or safety of these submissions. You are responsible for verifying any information you rely on from the site.

Lawful Use

You agree to use the site only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations. You must not use the site in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it or interfere with other users’ enjoyment of the site.

Prohibited Misuse

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information about yarn bombs, meetups, or fiber art.
  • Upload content that infringes the intellectual property or other rights of any third party.
  • Upload or share content that is unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its servers, or any connected systems.
  • Use automated tools (such as bots or scrapers) to access or collect data from the site in a manner that violates these Terms or disrupts the site.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the site or its data.

Advertising and Third Parties

The site may display advertisements, including through Google AdSense. These ads are provided by third-party advertising partners. We do not control the content of those ads and are not responsible for the products, services, or practices of advertisers. Your interactions with advertisers are solely between you and the advertiser.

Intellectual Property

The site’s design, text, graphics, logos, and software are the property of the site operator or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the site without prior written permission.

By submitting content to the site (such as photos, descriptions, or event details), you grant the site a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and reproduce that content in connection with operating and promoting the YarnBomb Map. You represent and warrant that you have the right to submit the content and that it does not violate the rights of any third party.

Availability and Changes

We strive to keep the site available and functioning, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the site or any part of it at any time, with or without notice.

Disclaimers

The site and all content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site operator and its service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the site.

In no event will the site operator’s total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the site exceed the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) USD $50.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the site operator and its service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the site, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

Disputes

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the site will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
